Your october beauty of the month

brittney seel

BSeel2.jpg

Where are you from?

SoCal girl born and raised! I grew up in Lakewood, CA. Moved to La Jolla, CA for four years during college. Now, I’m living in my favorite place so far, Redondo Beach. I love living in the South Bay. The spirit of this city really encompasses everything that I love.

What do you do for a living and how did you get there?

I am currently an aerospace engineer for The Boeing Company. I graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from UC San Diego in 2013. I started interning with Boeing as a Satellite Propulsion engineer during the summer after my freshman year in college. I have always been fascinated by human exploration in space.
I am also newly certified to teach yoga and am beyond thrilled to be able to share my passion for yoga with others.

What is your hobby?

Yoga and meditating on the beach with an acai bowl! I love being active, whether that is hiking a new trail, running on the strand, or trying a new fitness craze. I love traveling and am very excited to be able to visit Dubai, Brazil, and London before the year is over. I would be overjoyed to be able to combine my loves for traveling and yoga into something that could be a future career.

If you could do anything right now, what would it be?

I would love to be eating tortellinis, while sailing on a boat in an Italian marina! Andiamo!

What is your life's intention?

Lokah samasta suhkino bhavantu.

May all beings everywhere be happy and free and may I contribute to this.

This is a really big thing for me. I never realized how important it is to be able to choose your happiness and choose how you deal with things until I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer last month. I chose to process this news in the most positive light that I could, instead of fear. Everyone deserves to be happy. I get to actively choose happiness, so can you.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

I live in Southern California, but I still say I’m from St. Louis, Missouri. My roots are deep in my Midwestern hometown. I was born and raised in St. Louis, Go Cards! Moved to Texas for college, headed out to Los Angeles for my first job after graduating and I've been here ever since!

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING AND HOW DID YOU GET THERE?

The famous phrase goes, "It not what you know, but who you know." I agree, but think it's missing one last part: "Who knows you?". Let me explain how I drew that conclusion. For starters, I have the entrepreneurial spirit, whether it was selling girl scout cookies, creating a lemonade stand empire or running a swim lesson business, I was always cooking up something! It’s a blessing and curse because I loved to dabble in lots of different things, never truly knowing what I wanted my career to be. Those kids who knew they wanted to be a doctor or teacher at age 10 were NOT me.  So that said, I went to school and studied Entrepreneurship (surprise, surprise) and graduated, but STILL didn't know what I wanted to do. After graduation I was working several different jobs when a friend called me out of the blue. It had been months since we chatted and of couple years since we had seen each other. There was an opening at her company and she had thought of me, believing I would be perfect for the role. I ended up getting hired at Fox Sports as the Talent Coordinator for Fox NFL Sunday.  It was a great experience and I have unbelievable memories, but it wasn't the right place for me. I was not actively looking for a new job, but another friend stumbled upon an opening at his company and immediately called. He said this was the job for me! I was skeptical in the beginning and it was a scary move, but I did it and now 3 years have passed and I can truly say it has been life changing... In all positive ways. I currently work at Red Bull as an Executive Assistant, supporting the VP of Retail Sales. This is all why I say, it’s who knows you and in those opportune moments thinks of you. I'm so thankful for those people.

WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY?

That’s tough. I’m going to make an overarching statement that encompasses them all. Things that I enjoy in some capacity all exercise my body, mind or soul: a good hike, scuba diving, trying new recipes, reading books, and fellowship with friends and family. The list could go on and on.

IF YOU COULD DO ANYTHING RIGHT NOW, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Have a complete career change. Wow, it’s one thing to say it, but to write it kinda scares me. Not going to lie. I’ve thought about it for a long time and have done some research here and there, but have never taken the plunge to go to nursing school.  It’s really been weighing on my heart a lot lately. I feel called to serve others and be God’s light in their lives. Nursing would allow me to do so and have an unbelievable impact.

WHAT IS YOUR LIFE'S INTENTION?

To love God, live humbly, and boldly love and serve people, in hopes of transforming this world.

Renee was raised in St. Louis & now currently lives in Los Angeles. Her Christian faith is the cornerstone of her life, desiring to walk daily with God & boldly share His love with others. She enjoys all things active & likes traveling, cooking, reading & spending time with friends and family. Renee is always up for an adventure, a good laugh & dessert!  Follow her @Beebopnae.

YOUR AUGUST BEAUTY OF THE MONTH

Lindsay cooley

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

I am originally from a little town in the Finger Lakes of Upstate NY called Geneva. From there I moved to NYC for 5 years before making the trip out to West Hollywood where I currently reside.

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING AND HOW DID YOU GET THERE?

I am currently an Agent at Ford Models LA. How did I get there? A lot of hard work and manifesting! I worked in fashion for eight years and entertainment representing commercial actors for five after that. From there, Ford Models found me- and the rest is history. I feel like the manifestation for my current position started when I was a little girl. I’ve always loved fashion and worked as a print model myself throughout high school. On top of that, I appreciate beauty, both conventional and unconventional, and I love being creative. I think of being an Agent as being a piece of a creative puzzle that influences the whole world and, in turn, creates pop culture.

WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY?

I have a million hobbies! A few of my favorite are painting abstract art in my art studio, writing inspirational articles, wine tasting, trying out new restaurants, cooking and traveling whenever I have time; whether it’s a day road trip or going to another country, I love the adventure of it all!

IF YOU COULD DO ANYTHING RIGHT NOW, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Oh, this is a toughy! If I could do one thing right now I would probably want to take off a few months from work and backpack the world like I did when I graduated college - this time with an unlimited budget!!

WHAT IS YOUR LIFE'S INTENTION?

My lifes intention is to continue to be the happiest person I know and help others realize they too can be as happy as I am. I think we all deserve to have it all.

Shortly after moving to Los Angeles from New York for the SUNSHINE, Lindsay fell in love with the entertainment industry and worked in the Adult Commercial Department at The Osbrink Agency until she was recently scooped up by FORD Models to be an Agent at their office in Los Angeles. At FORD she is able to contribute more of her expertise in fashion, which she LOVES. With a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications from The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, putting people into advertising is a natural fit.

Above and beyond submitting/pitching client’s everyday she helps style test shoots, gives personal wardrobe advice and thrives on bringing positivity into any aspect she can. In addition Lindsay loves going to the beach, live music, wine tasting (cab and chard are her faves), spin class, painting and writing! Follow her on Instagram: @linsinthebiz or Twitter: @linsinthebiz

Your July Beauty of the Month

Annie Schmidt

Annie Schmidt July 2015 - 1.png

Where are you from?

I was born in Washington DC and I lived in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia until the first grade.  I love to go back and visit because it is one place on this planet that hasn’t changed a bit in the last twenty years.  In the middle of first grade we moved to Stafford, Virginia and this is where I call home!  Aside from living in Fairfax, Virginia while attending George Mason University, I have been in Stafford since I was the age of the students that I teach now!

What do you do for a living and how did you get there?

I am currently a Kindergarten Teacher.  If you read my story ‘Curveball’ you will understand that this could change in a matter of minutes.  I’m not exactly sure how I got here… but I think that’s how I know this is what I’m supposed to be doing.  I started college as a Psychology Major and didn’t officially make the switch to Education until the summer before my senior year.  The next thing I knew, I was earning my Masters Degree in Curriculum & Instruction.  I have always enjoyed working with kids and I definitely have a creative, crafty side!  Teaching allows me to use many of my interests and strengths as a way of meeting the overarching goal of helping students to succeed.

What is your hobby?

There is a Dance Fusion Fitness class at our local roller skating rink that I just cannot get enough of!  Yes, I said roller skating rink… it’s the only place big enough to fit the entire crew!  Every Tuesday and Thursday night the DFF Crew comes together to shake it under black lights!  With squats, burpees, turbo kick, and so much more, it is easily the most intense cardio I have ever done… but also the most fun!  Thanks to the friendly faces that surround me during class and the high energy of our instructor, it is exactly what I need to motivate me to stay active!

If you could do anything right now, what would it be?

I would love to renovate an old beach cottage!  A little place, close to the ocean… keep all of its classic, vintage charm, but spruce it up and make it my own!  Yes, I watch HGTV!

What is your life's intention?

My number one goal in life is to help others.  I love to make the people around me feel good and I enjoy watching them succeed.  I am blessed to have a career that enables me to do this regularly.  At the end of each day, if I have helped just one student with one little thing, academic or not, my day is complete.

Annie Schmidt July 2015 - 2.png

Annie is excited to teach Kindergarten for a second time this coming fall!  In addition to helping young minds grow, she spends a lot of my free time writing lesson plans, creating resources, and making her classroom the brightest, happiest place it can be.  She also loves cooking, working on DIY projects, boating with my family, spending as much time in the sun as possible, and attending her favorite Dance Fusion Fitness class!

Follow Annie on Instagram with @annieschmannie and be sure to read her story 'Curveball' under Soul > Career.

Your June beauty of the month

Katy Mogg

The absolute strength and love of life in Katy is one of the most inspiring we've ever known.  Her ability to lead each day with positivity and gratitude awakens us to how lucky we are for all of the beautiful and incredible days we are given to share our story and give love to the world.

The impact this girl will have on your heart is unforgettable.

Katy Mogg_kayaking.png

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

I'm sort of all over the place when people ask me this, which I consider myself fortunate for, but I claim my hometown as a little city right outside of Pittsburgh, PA- Zelienople, to be exact. I was born in Los Angeles, moved to Pennsylvania when I was about six, and then moved to North Carolina at 18, right after high school. After spending almost nine years there, mostly in Raleigh, I've moved myself back here to California (as of March) where it all began- so, for now I'm on the central coast. Emphasis on FOR NOW, if my past is any indicator of the future. I get itchy feet pretty easily.

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING AND HOW DID YOU GET THERE?

Since I've only been back in California for a little over two months, I'm currently a professional job-seeker. Up until I moved here, I've been working in Marketing and Digital Media, and I've almost always maintained a side job as a bartender, too, which is what I did all through college. I graduated from North Carolina State University (Go Wolfpack!) with a B.A. in Communications (Public Relations), and I found that, other than internships and volunteering, bartending really helped me get to just about anywhere I wanted to be in my career. Aside from it being a really fun and well paying job, it gave me the chance to network very efficiently, and to be able to meet a ton of awesome and successful people. I'd like to think it's also my talent, drive, and a little luck that has gotten me this far or anywhere in my career, but I've found there definitely is some truth to the idea that it's really all about who you know. And, speaking of luck, I actually got an interview as a direct result of the story I wrote for this site, too!

WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY?

I love music, and pretty much anything that has to do with it, so I try to see as many concerts and live shows as I can- headliners to local acts at dive bars. If my pockets allow, I like to pick tour dates in cities that I've never been to so I can check out new places, too. Plus, I LOVE to dance. Now that I've got a lot more of my muscle strength back since doing some major recovery from my illness, I'm getting back into it and taking some break-dancing lessons. I also try to write as much as possible in my spare time, whether that be for fun, for work, or even as a form of therapy to get my scatter-brained thoughts out on paper. And, I've got a really nice guitar that is itching to be played, too.

if you could do anything right now, what would it be?

TRAVEL- as much as possible and to anywhere. I'd buy a vintage airstream (my DREAM home) and cruise around the country with my best friends and only a slightly-clear itinerary; one with enough wiggle room for lots of spontaneity and sudden changes of plan. Then, I'd throw darts at a map of the world and just keep going until I'd seen it all. THEN- I'd start over and check out all those places again. I'd buy an arm's length of scratch-off tickets every day and just hand them out to strangers while I was at it.

what is your life's intention?

To be happy, above everything else. To be able to figure out what it is in life that's going to make me the most happy, so that I can go get it, or at least enjoy the ride better while I'm trying. The great thing about being happy is that everything else usually seems to fall into place along with it. If I can really get there one day, then I can spend the rest of my time helping someone else get there, too- since happiness is definitely meant to be shared. And, definitely to be able to give my mom a vacation, that's part of my own happiness equation.

Kaitlin Delaney

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

Short answer: Northern California & moved to Upstate New York halfway through high school

Long Answer: I like to call myself a 'dot-com brat', like an army brat, but my dad was in the dot-com biz working on new start ups every 2-5 years. I was born in Sacramento, California. Two years later we moved to Emeryville and two years after that, Alameda. Five years later we moved to Atherton. We stayed there for elementary and my freshman year of high school and then moved to upstate New York where I started my sophomore year. I can't say it was always easy to move, but now that I'm older I can see that it built character and I'm so grateful for how close it brought my family and for being able to make new friends easily.

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING AND HOW DID YOU GET THERE?

I'm currently a homemaker! I studied Communications, Media Studies in college & started my career as a PR specialist. I then dabbled in production when I moved to Los Angeles as an Audience Coordinator for live television shows and a Production Assistant/Production Manager for music videos and commercials. I then joined the ranks of the 9-5'ers working for Red Bull North America; first as the Receptionist and then the Executive Assistant to the VP of Marketing. Today, my office is my home and my boss is my 6 month old son, Finn. He's by far more demanding than any of the others ;-)

WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY?

My favorite hobby is yoga! I love that it's both physical and mental. I wish I found it sooner in life because I think the benefits reach you on a cellular level and can help in so many ways. This is why I recently started volunteering teaching K-1st graders yoga in their school.

IF YOU COULD DO ANYTHING RIGHT NOW, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I wonder why people don't daydream about this more often. Even now, trying to think about it I'm not sure. I feel I have so many obligations as a mother that I can't imagine just being able to pick up and do anything right now.

If I could do anything RIGHT NOW I would go to a yoga class. Yoga is the answer to everything!

WHAT IS YOUR LIFE'S INTENTION?

My life's intention is to be happy & help make others happy. I truly believe that is what we're on this earth to do. It's not always easy, but you're the only one who can make it happen!

Kaitlin is the co-founder of Your Beautiful Story. After many jobs she feels she has finally found her passion. Check her out on Instagram @kaitdel or the YBS team @BeYoutiful_Story.

YOUR APRIL BEAUTY OF THE MONTH

LINDSAY SHIVELY

The love and inspiration we feel for our April Beauty of the Month leaves us slightly speechless.

Not only does Lindsay show us the importance of embracing every single day, but she encompasses exactly what family is all about. An incredible role model, a true beauty inside and out, a caring wife and now an amazing new mother, Lindsay inspires us to become our best selves in so many ways. With her beautiful baby boy's 1st birthday this month, we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate April!

Where are you from?

Whenever I get asked this question, my answer is normally based on who is asking. My Dad was in the Coast Guard so the 'correct' answer would be, "I am from Florida, Alaska, Hawaii, California, Virginia, and Pennsylvania". I guess my current, shortened answer would be, "I am from central Pennsylvania".

What do you do for a living and how did you get there?

I am the Manager of Scheduling and Event Planning at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. I am truly thankful to work at Bucknell, really enjoy my job, and love the people I work with. As for how I got here, I was brought to central Pa by my wonderful husband and having background in working with, and planning events, at my Alma Mater, Christopher Newport University, helped me land a job in the greatest office at Bucknell!

What is your hobby?

Well, since becoming a Mom, I would say my hobby would be anything that helps my son, husband, and us as a family. I guess if I could say I have any hobby, it would be to put things on my to-do list and be able to check them off. Exciting, I know...but it is to me! Happily, my life revolves around my family and anything I can do to help each of us. I love to be able to finish things I want to finish. Aside from that, my most favorite hobby would be just spending time with my family. They are my everything. <3

If you could do anything right now, what would it be?

Wow, this is a tough one. If I could do anything right now, it would be to have a house that always remain clean and organized. Haha! Don't we all? I love to have a clean house but that doesn't come automatically so having a house, kind of a like a dishwasher, where you shut the door, set it to a certain setting and next time you open the door it's all clean. How cool would that be?!

What is your life's intention?

My life's intention would be to help make my family and others happy. That sounds so simple, yet so big at the same time. I am a people pleaser and that especially goes for my family. I hope that I can play at least a small part in the happiness of others. Simply typing those words was very simple, however, they mean so very much and to bring happiness to others is where I find my joy. If you know me, you know I love to laugh! Life is too short not to be happy. Every day is a gift!

LS Pic 7.png

Lindsay Shively lives in central Pennsylvania with her husband, son, and dog, Abby. In her free time, she soaks in every moment with her beautiful family and enjoys getting things checked off her to-do list. Even though that may be a bit trickier lately with a toddler, she wouldn’t change it for the world.

YOUR February BEAUTY OF THE MONTH

Merry Henry

This woman's charisma and enthusiasm for life encourages us to smile and laugh as much as possible, every single day.  She reminds us how important it is to be yourself and do what you love.

Her devotion to her family and intention to inspire the world to continue searching for your passion, regardless of age, is invigorating.  We can't thank Merry enough for reminding us how beautiful life can be when you let go of your fears and live in the moment.

Merry Henry

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

Geneva, NY.  I have lived in seven different states as my dad was a pilot in the Air Force and we moved often.  My husband, of 32 years, and I decided to settle down on the east coat to be near family after living for in San Francisco Bay area for 18 years.

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING AND HOW DID YOU GET THERE?

I have been selling real estate for 9 years after being a stay at home mom for 20 years.  I have been in sales since I graduated college and knew that at some point I would find a job I loved almost as much as being a mother.  After college I enjoyed my sales jobs but didn't love them and was lucky enough to be able to stay home with our children.  At 47 years old I reentered the workforce and decided to try real estate.  I love my job and it is a perfect fit for me as I enjoy meeting new people and bringing them together in one of the most important steps in their lives, which is owning a home.

WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY?

Reading, water sports, horseback riding and anything to do with the outdoors.

IF YOU COULD DO ANYTHING RIGHT NOW, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I would own a horse stable and let any interested child ride for free if they worked and cared for the horses themselves.  Horses were my passion and when I was younger that is what I did in order to be able to ride.  It teaches children you can work for what you want and you may even enjoy the parts of the experience that get you where you want to be, which in my case was being able to ride horses.

WHAT IS YOUR LIFE'S INTENTION?

My intention is to pass along the lesson I learned in life that is the most important to me and share it with others.  The lesson is to keep searching for work or experiences that you truly enjoy and that fulfill you.  Get a job or volunteer at something you are interested in until you figure out what you really want to do.  You may not find what that is until you are in your 30's, 40's or much later, but it will find you if you keep searching.  Don't stress over it and enjoy the journey

Merry Henry is a licensed real estate agent for Lake to Lake Real Estate in Geneva, New York. She just celebrated 31 years of marriage and is a mother of 3. Her hobbies include water skiing, snow skiing and reading. Find her on Facebook @Merry Tuxill Henry.

Charleston, South Carolina

What do you do for a living and how did you get there?

I am a Digital Media Consultant. I have always been interested in technology, media, and products. I stay on top of the industry and how technology impacts it. Also, I have been lucky enough to find a couple mentors who helped me by teaching me about the industry, answering questions, and believing in me.

What is your hobby?

My hobby is traveling and taking pictures, which I think go hand in hand. You can always find me with a camera and trying to snap a photo to preserve a memory.

If you could do anything right now, what would it be?

I would take 6 months off of work and travel the world with the love of my life and my camera. My ideal journey would be one where we don't plan everything out ahead of time - I mean we would buy a couple plane tickets to get from continent to continent, but we would decide on the details with the help of the people we meet along the way. I love to learn from experiencing different cultures and hearing new perspectives.

What is your life's intention?

My life's intention is to be loving, understanding, and kind to the people in my life.

Your December Beauty of the Month

Christie Leigh

Our December Beauty of the Month is the stunning Christie Leigh.

Christie's positive attitude, her passion to enjoy each and every moment, laugh in the chaos and spend as much quality time with her friends and family she can brings a smile to our faces. She not only inspires us to become better writers and embrace the power of writing your story but she encourages us to stay determined in following our passion and learn from every opportunity.

Co-founder, Stacey, is even lucky enough to call this beauty her cousin!

Where are you from?

I'm from Carmel, New York. It is a town about an hour north of New York City. I've lived there for most of my life except for college when I moved to The Bronx for a year and then Albany (New York) for three years.

What do you do for a living and how dID you get there?

I am currently a legal staff assistant for a defense law firm. When I graduated from college in 2013, I got a job at a relocation company near my house. I worked there for three months when my entire department was laid off. I went from the lucky college graduate with a job to being unemployed. I ended up getting a temp position as an administrative assistant in the accounting department of a law firm which ended up being a blessing in disguise. Throughout college, I was interested in law but working in a law firm really re-sparked that interest. While Law School seemed like a bigger decision than I was ready to make, I decided to go back to school for my Paralegal Certificate. I left my temporary position when I went back to school because I needed more flexible hours. A month after leaving there, I interviewed at the law firm I work for now and got the job (on April Fools Day nonetheless. Since I was just out of college with little experience, my first response when they told me I got the job was "Is this an April Fools joke?")

What is your hobby?

I've always loved reading and writing. Whenever I have some downtime, I love curling up with a good book. I also love trying new restaurants with my friends, doing makeup, shopping and laughing.

If you could do anything right now, what would it be?

With finals approaching, school has been very stressful lately. I would love to be laying on the beach with a book in one hand and a drink in the other. It would be amazing to be somewhere where I could just be worry and stress-free... and somewhere warm wouldn't be so bad since it's getting pretty cold in NY!

What is your life's intention?

To follow my heart wherever it may take me. To do what makes me happy and feel good. To keep making people laugh. To figure out what my life intention is!

Christie Leigh.jpeg

Christie is currently studying to be a Paralegal in New York. Although law is what currently takes up most of her time, writing was her original passion. As a fairly recent college graduate, Christie is just living one day at a time and is eager to see what the future will bring for her.  Follow Christie on Twitter with @_christieleigh and Instagram with @_ChristieLeigh.

What do you do for a living and how did you get there?

I currently am the #1 Earth Saver for Red Bull. Essentially if there is anything around Environmental Compliance, I am your "go to." I realized my sophomore year that I wanted to figure out a way to positively impact the world in the private sector. If you think about it, that is where the money and infrastructure are to create lasting change. How did I get to Red Bull? I was in the right place at the right time.

What is your hobby?

I love taking my dog Montgomery for walks. You meet so many amazing people (and their dogs) while walking around! I've also found some great new shops as well...I also love spending time with my friends and family. When I'm not doing those things you can find me dancing at a concert.

If you could do anything right now, what would it be?

I'd move to London and drink copious amounts of tea while perfecting my British accent.

What is your life's intention?

Maya Angelou nailed it for me when she said "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style." To that I say "DITTO."

I am a lover of people, trivia, and food... not necessarily in that order. I am a G.R.I.T. but have fully embraced the California lifestyle and driving techniques. Let's go get Sprinkles cupcakes and be friends. Find me on Instagram @paigingdunn

Your October Beauty of the Month

Stacey Thomas

Where are you from?

My dad was in the Coast Guard for 27 years, so growing up I lived everywhere from Kodiak, Alaska to Honolulu, Hawaii.  For most of my life, I grew up in a town just south of DC called Stafford, VA.

What do you do for a living and how did you get there?

Currently, I work in Digital Marketing.  After receiving my degree in Public Relations from the University of Georgia, I worked in television production full-time for a few years right out of college, some of the best “Hollywood” experiences I could have had after moving to Los Angeles.  I met the coolest people, saw some pretty crazy things, became friends with a few of the greatest people I know and I wouldn’t change that experience for the world.

What is your hobby?

My hobbies are to create new recipes in the kitchen, run to the pier of my neighborhood every morning, sample the best frozen yogurt places in town, ride my bike along the beach, drink wine on my balcony while watching the sunset, paint (only abstract for now :)), sweat through my favorite yoga classes, spend as much time on the beach as possible, grocery shop (yes, its super fun!), laugh with friends and most importantly, watch the sunrise.

If you could do anything right now, what would it be?

If I could do anything right now… I would spend time with my nephew, Connor.  He is my first nephew and the absolute cutest little man on this planet.  I can’t get enough of him and his smile shows me that every single day is such a gift.  Cuddling with him and napping on the couch are some of the best moments of my life.  He is truly the best!

What is your life’s intention?

My life’s intention is to make a difference in other people’s worlds.  I want to inspire others to become their greatest selves, appreciate each day, live and be happy!  One of the best ways that I feel I am most happy is when I am physically healthy.  I want to help people experience this as well and inspire them to live their greatest life.  My hope is that I can show others how important it is to laugh and enjoy their story.

On a typical weekend, you'll find Stacey playing on the beach, laughing with friends or jogging the strand of her Southern California neighborhood.  As a co-founder of Your Beautiful story, Stacey loves to appreciate all the beautiful things in life, mimosas included.  Follow her adventures with @staceylthomas or her passion to inspire the world with @beYOUtiful_story on Instagram.

Your September Beauty of the Month

Amber Caudle

Where are you from?

I am originally from Atlanta, Ga.  My southern roots make up a huge part of who I am, but after making the move to Hermosa Beach 11 years ago, the South Bay feels like my second home. I adore living and working here.

What do you do for a living and how did you get there?

I'm a chef and restaurant owner. I have been in the restaurant business since I was 15.  I am passionate about expressing myself and nourishing others by preparing and serving fresh, locally sourced, healing foods that taste sensational.

What is your hobby?

Creating new ideas, experimenting with fresh new ingredients in the kitchen, reading, trying new exercise classes such as heated yoga and meditation, taking care of myself both physically and mentally.

If you could do anything right now, what would it be?

Go on a spa vacation to We Care in Desert Palm Springs, an amazing place to restore, rest and detox with my mom and sister.  Either that or re-visit San Sebastian in the basque region, the most beautiful food, culture and coast in the world!

What is your life's intention?

To be authentic and to direct my path with heart, hopefully doing so with ease and grace!  To always trust my intuition and act on my dreams with no fear of failing! To inspire and teach others that having a strong beautiful healthy body is possible... helping others to connect the dots that the food you eat has a direct effect on your overall wellness.

Amber Caudle is the chef/owner of  The Source Cafe in Hermosa Beach, Ca.  Chef Amber shares her passion for food, with our South Bay community, by bringing the most healthful, local, farm fresh ingredients to life through her innovative culinary style.
