My favorite yoga teacher, April Bernardi, said something during class yesterday that really hit home. She went to see Michael Beckwith at the Agape Center a few weeks ago and he said something that resonated with her and she shared with the class: "You don't talk about what you see, you see what you've been talking about."
We, as humans, tend to talk and focus so much on our past instead of forward thinking to what we actually want to see happen. I realized there are so many times I harp on one negative situation that happened in my past and it continues to bring negativity into my life. Refocusing my thoughts and finding new things to think about would benefit my present and future.
It is also aligned with trying something new. Albert Einstein said, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Well, Mr. Einstein, I completely agree. I tried something new to stop feeling crazy that I'm not getting different results with my life!
Check out my next blog on Monday to see what it is!
